DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENTS
Your ophthalmic diagnostic instruments are incredibly important to your practice. They show your patients a lot about the level of care they are getting and need to be in top condition. Better yet, they should incorporate the newest technology.
DIGITAL IMAGING
Digital imaging has been questioned throughout the optometry world, but new studies have proven that new digital imaging technology is comparable to many common manual ophthalmic diagnostic practices.
DIGITAL REFRACTION SYSTEMS
We recommend automated digital refraction systems to all of our customers because their return on investment is so considerable.
DISPENSING ACCESSORIES
Creating proper eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions can make the difference between a patient who returns time and again and one who leaves to find another practice. Not only is the comfort of your patient important but also their perception of your practice. By using the most up to date ophthalmic prescription instruments, measurement tools and dispensary equipment you will help your patients trust your practice and your ophthalmic prescriptions.
EYE EXAM EQUIPMENT
The effectiveness of your eye examination equipment can have a profound effect on your practice.
EYE EXAMINATION LIGHTS
In order to perform proper ophthalmic diagnostics you need proper ophthalmic examination lights. The right exam light will help you identify and diagnose your patient's conditions and without the right clinical ophthalmic examination lights you may miss a critical clue or aspect of your patient's ocular situation. VeatchInstruments.com understands that you need the best eye exam lights on the market to do your job which is why we offer the best state of the art ophthalmic examination light options.
INSTRUMENT TABLES
Every optometry office needs proper ophthalmic instrument tables, electric tables, and other appropriate work surfaces. Trying to make a simple table meet all of these needs will not work well for your practice and will not look as professional as a table that is specifically designed for your ophthalmic needs.
LENSMETERS
A lensmeter or lensometer is an instrument used by opticians, optometrist and ophthalmologists to determine the power of an existing prescription lens.
MAGNIFIER LENSES
Choose for a selection of magnifiers for reading and fine detail work.
OPHTHALMIC LENSES
Veatch Instruments provides an excellent selection of ophthalmic lenses including binocular indirect ophthalmic lenses, slit lamp non contact lenses and lens accessories like lens cleaner, lens holders and other equipment to maintain your ophthalmic lenses.
OPHTHALMIC SURGICAL
If you conduct ophthalmic surgery, you know how important instrumentation and up to date ophthalmic technology can be in securing your desired surgical result. We carry an excellent selection of ophthalmic surgical equipment and basic surgical equipment like sterilizers and sphygmomanometers. Buying new equipment can be difficult from other sites, but VeatchInstruments.com is committed to providing you with the best ophthalmic equipment and ophthalmic surgical instruments for your ophthalmic practice.
OPHTHALMIC ULTRASOUND
When diagnosing various eye problems, including glaucoma, cataracts and ocular tumors, ophthalmic ultrasound will let you better visualize the problems your patient is experiencing and let you better prescribe a course of treatment. VeatchInstruments.com provides a variety of ophthalmic ultrasound equipment as well as top of the line pachymeters or pachometers. The technology is advancing in ultrasound, sonogram and imaging technology so quickly that you can't afford to let you ophthalmic practice fall behind. Let us help you find the right ophthalmic equipment for your practice today.
PERIMETERS
Perimtery and vision field testing equipment.
PHOROPTOR AND REFRACTORS ACCES
Phoroptor and refractor accessories and related ophthalmic equipment.
PRE TEST ITEMS
Early stage vision testing with simple ophthalmic instruments can be just as important as more advanced testing using ophthalmic equipment.
RETINAL IMAGING
Finding the right retinal imaging equipment on the market can be difficult and deciding what kind of retinal cameras to purchase can pose a challenge to anyone running a thriving ophthalmic practice.
SERVICE AND REPAIR
At Veatch, we realize that you have a substantial investment in your ophthalmic equipment. The Tomey AL-100 is designed for fast and simple operation. Tone-assisted measurement notifies the operator when the probe is aligned & measurements are recorded. The AL-100 takes up to 10 readings, for use in the IOL calculation. The AL-100 measures axial lengths from 15-40mm with an accuracy of ±0.1mm and a resolution of 0.01mm. Eye modes include Normal, Aphakic, Pseudophakic and Dense Cataract. Pseudophakic mode is able to select three materials: Silicone, Acrylic & PMMA. Measurements may be acquired automatically or manually & in Contact or Immersion modes.
The AL-100 calculates IOL power with a vast array of formulas: SRK II, SRK/T, Holladay, Haigis Standard, Haigis Optimized, & Showa. Other formulas may be added as well.
The AL-100 can display up to two lens constants and the corresponding IOL powers. Up to 10 lenses and lens constants can also be stored for use (along with the corresponding Surgeon Factor, SF).
Entering patient and lens data is simple and direct with the large, easy-to-read touch screen. No more small or unattached keypads to make data entry a chore. The AL-100 also stores up to six patients in its internal memory and up to 240 patients in the optional 512Kb PC memory card.
The AL-100 also has an integral printer, which can print either a standard waveform and IOL calculation, for both eyes, or more complete printout with all of the measured & calculated data, for both eyes.
In addition, there is an RS-232C port for direct connection to a PC and the office database.

The Tomey AL-3000 With touch screen control, automatic tone-assisted measurement & visual graphic displays, acquisition and evaluation of axial length measurements are almost effortless. Measuring modes include Normal, Dense Cataract, Aphakic & Pseudophakic of Silicone, Acrylic, PMMA & other IOLs. The AL-3000 can be used in either contact or immersion mode & measurements can be taken automatically or manually.
IOL power is calculated automatically after entering the corneal curvature data & the desired postoperative refraction. The most popular formula are provided: SRK II, Holladay & the new Haigis formula with a special algorithm for accurate IOL calculation for high myopes & high hyperopes.
The AL-3000 has standard function of immersion measurements to avoid pressing cornea by probe. TOMEY Immersion Cap is easy-to-use & effective for virus disinfection among patients.
The AL-3000’s high resolution color touch screen display provides a simple user interface and allows fast, easy access to all available programs. Detailed waveforms can be viewed, patient data can be stored & printout can be obtained.
The AL-3000 provides a PC memory card that stores data for up to 237 patients. Additional memory cards are available from TOMEY to expand storage capacity.
Using the optional pachymeter probe, the AL-3000 measures corneal thickness from 150 to 1,500µm. Single or multiple measurements may be acquired. In single mode, up to 10 measurements from a single location can be averaged. In multiple mode, up to 25 locations across the cornea can be mapped.
